Since 1988 Nevada Home Financing provided all types of mortgage loans throughout the Silver State. In the last few years the mortgage industry has evolved from a direct-contact business, like your neighborhood market or barber/beauty shop. Today much of that the era is gone and now replaced by a high-tech, electronic, in-your-face TV, spam and a junk mail monster.  For over 20 years Nevada Home Financing we provided our clients with personal service. Our customers regularly visited our office, (sometimes just for a cup of coffee), and our loan officers were happy to make house calls to deliver an application or pick up required documentation. During business hours we answered our phones without the benefit of a machine and did not screen your calls. Our night and weekend answering service gave the home phone number of our loan officers and manager. We were at your service and did business the old-fashioned way, with a smile and a firm handshake. Now one thing has changed.  The service that Darl and company provided when he was the President and General manager remain the same.  The only difference?  For now there is only Darl.

"The Short Story" by Darl

Ours is typical of many stories through-out the USA, especially of folks in the housing industry. Realtors, construction workers, bankers, were some of the first to feel the impact of the impending financial disaster that was to hit our nation and ultimately the whole world. Soon those employed in the auto industry, all types of financial intuitions and ultimately the entire economy, including individual states, counties, and cities were on the severely impacted or on the verge of bankruptcy.  We were no different.  In the end we could no longer afford to do business-as-usual. As with many other business' and families we had to cut back.  The toughest part of this was a cut-back of employees, employees that had grown to be like family.  Some were family.  

Now we are in a much smaller office and it is no longer 'We'.  I, with the unpaid help of my adult children, are continuing where this company started almost 21 years ago.  I have closed Nevada Home Financing and I now beginning work for a wonderful company called Nevada Property Mortgage.  Why NPM?  They have all the tools needed to allow me to continue financing all types of property, especially manufactured housing. We owe our past to our loyal customers and I will continue to serve everyone who needs financing for manufactured/mobile homes or any other type of mortgage loan.  Mortgage loans of all types will now be done through Nevada Property Mortgage and I will continue to own and operate Nevada Mobile Home Financing a Nevada Licensed Finance Company.  I will strive, as in the past, to offer the best service available.  At NPM I will have more products, including FHA, VA, Rural Housing in addition to Conventional (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) loans.  NPM has a great support staff and very knowledgeable management.  

So in the end, not much will change.  I will still talk about serving my country in the US Navy from 1955 to 1960 and brag about my cousin Don Wilson, who along with Bob Bogle, formed the musical group "The Ventures" in 1958. (they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008) I can still bore you with stories about living over 10 years in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, fishing and about owning an RV business in the Pacific Northwest.  Finally we can talk about the business I love...mortgage lending.  Maybe, if I live another 70 years I will be making loans to your great grand-children!  God Bless them all!
